Road to 2017: Our History in Pictures.
The conservation, display, storage and copyright of photographs in collections
Date: November 25, 2015; 9:00 – 4:30
Location: 44 Trans Canada Highway, Suite 2 , Deer Lake, NL.
This workshop is designed to assist you in organizing your photographic collections. After a brief review of
proper storage and handling procedures we will work through the processes that allow your museum to provide access to and information about the photographs in your institution. We will look at accessioning, arrangement, description/cataloguing and access issues, including finding aids, databases and digitization. We will finish by exploring some of the copyright issues that heritage groups should be aware of when sharing their photograph collections with the public.
