The Family History Resource Centre opened in its new home in 2010. Operated by the Cupids Historical Society since 1982, it is housed inside the Cupids Legacy Centre. The Family History Resource Centre (FHRC) includes extensive donated family histories and over 375 family trees compiled from the records of the churches in Cupids and Brigus. These have all been entered in Family Tree Maker software which researchers may view at the FHRC. Researchers will find a large book and periodical collection; census records; wills; deeds; and other documentation that help tell the early history of Cupids and convey its social fabric; map collection; detailed cemetery inscriptions (including GPS coordinates for the United Church Cemetery) and digital photographs of headstones; oral histories; and over 3,500 digital files in its photograph collection.
Admission: $0 / Donations are welcomed
NOTE: To visit the exhibits at the Legacy Centre, there is an admission fee.
