Workshop #1
Public Programming for Museums—An Introduction

An elective course for MANL's in Museums Studies Certificate Program
Date: TBA
Time: 9 – 4:30 pm.
Fee: $85 (MANL), $110 (non-members)
Instructor: Anne Madden
Description: This one-day workshop will provide an introduction to developing public programming in museums, heritage organizations and galleries. Topics will include: a brief overview of museum education, learning theories and learning styles; the role of interpretation policy development in public programs; audience identification; program planning tips; program promotion and evaluation; and the role of interpretation and public programming in engaging our communities.

A two-day core course for MANL's in Museums Studies Certificate Program
Time: 9 – 4:30 pm.
Fee: $130 (MANL), $155 (non-members
Location: MANL Offices, 200 Military Road, St. John's, NL
